The Private Internal Medicine Center (PIMC) at Scripps Clinic is a concierge medical practice in San Diego that offers personalized primary care for adults at an institution known for clinical excellence.


An annual membership fee allows members of PIMC to access dedicated concierge medical doctors and staff, as well as special services when you need them, where you need them. This boutique medicine practice creates the conditions for immediate access to care, while it affords both patient and physician the opportunity to develop a stronger and more collaborative health care relationship.


PIMC offers three membership tiers to meet your needs: 


  • Gold
  • Diamond
  • Diamond+

Clients have access to an array of amenities, including:


  • Same-day and next-day appointments
  • Around-the-clock telephone/pager access to their personal PIMC physician
  • Coordination of specialty care referrals within Scripps Clinic
  • Complimentary valet parking at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines
  • A comfortable, private waiting area with wireless internet access, a flat screen television and complimentary hot beverages

Membership tiers 

PIMC offers three membership tiers to meet your needs: Gold, Diamond and Diamond+. The Diamond and Diamond+ tiers include added benefits provided by the Scripps Center for Executive Health.


Gold

Amenities include:


  • Same-day and next-day appointments
  • Around-the-clock telephone/pager access to their personal PIMC physician
  • Coordination of specialty care referrals within Scripps Clinic
  • Complimentary valet parking at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines
  • A comfortable, private waiting area with wireless internet access, a flat screen television and complimentary hot beverages


Diamond

Diamond benefits include Gold benefits (above), plus the Executive Health WholePerson Examination. The Executive Health WholePerson Examination is an executive physical exam performed by a multi-disciplinary team. It includes:


  • Complete blood chemistry panel
  • Resting EKG and stress treadmill with a cardiologist
  • Carotid artery ultrasound
  • Femoral artery scan
  • Body composition and visceral fat measurement
  • Skin cancer screening with a dermatologist


Diamond+

Diamond+ benefits include Gold and Diamond benefits (above), plus the Executive Health Lifestyle Assessment. The Lifestyle Assessment consists of a personalized lifestyle assessment focusing on factors influencing your health, including:


  • Diet
  • Exercise
  • Temperament
  • Management style
  • Risk for anxiety and depression

Pricing and membership fees

PIMC accepts PPO health insurance plans and Medicare. It does not accept HMO health plans. 


Annual membership fees for PIMC are as follows:


Gold

Under age 65


  • Individual: $3,780
  • Couple: $6,426
  • Dependents, ages 18 to 26: $1,050 each


Over age 65


  • Individual: $4,660
  • Couple: $7,860
  • Couple with one over age 65, one under: $7,170
  • Dependents, ages 18 to 26: $1,050 each


You can change your status as an individual, couple or family at any time with a 60-day notice. You cannot transfer participation in the program to any other individual. The PIMC at Scripps Clinic reserves the right to adjust the fee schedule on an annual basis.


Diamond

Diamond level benefits are an additional $3,090 per person.


Diamond+

Diamond+ level benefits are an additional $3,650 per person.
