Corporate Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Brett Tande is responsible for all financial planning and financial operations at Scripps Health, including corporate finance, treasury, revenue cycle, payroll, real estate operations, hospital and ambulatory financial operations, and all affiliated functions. He also advises senior management on organizational financial matters.
Joining the Scripps team in spring of 2022, Tande previously served as senior vice president of finance and CFO for 125-year-old Cottage Health in Santa Barbara, where he oversaw its finance, revenue cycle, supply chain and information technology functions. His time at Cottage included a comprehensive restructuring of the balance sheet, several large IT implementations and financial leadership through COVID-19 and other crises.
Prior to Cottage, Tande served in lead finance roles at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare and Cadence Health, both in the Chicago area. Earlier in his career, he was a member of Morgan Stanley’s institutional not-for-profit health care practice.
An experienced leader with broad finance, organizational and management expertise, Tande earned a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management as well as a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington University.
