Yifan Yang, MD, is a general surgeon who has clinical interest in anal pathology, breast cancer, colon cancer, hernias, gallbladder and biliary diseases, as well as pilonidal and soft tissue tumors. He is also an expert in minimal invasive and robotic surgery. He has performed over 500 Da Vinci robotic surgeries as of 2020.
Dr. Yang has been practicing medicine since 2008 and started working at Scripps in 2014.
Dr. Yang believes in providing patient-centered, and the most appropriate care to all patients in order to provide them with the best possible outcomes. He strives for great care for all his patients from the minute they walk into the office until their final visit after surgery.
Dr. Yang is a member of the Faculty of American College of Surgeons. He also is the current Co-Chief of Surgery for Scripps Mercy Hospital.
He enjoys spending his downtime with his wife and three children, as well as two dogs, exploring San Diego.
