Gregory P. Ranches, MD, is a pulmonologist and critical care medicine specialist. He treats a wide variety of lung diseases including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease and also specializes in the treatment of critically ill patients needing various forms of life support.
In addition, he has specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, nontuberculous mycobacterial infection and lung cancer/pulmonary nodules. He is experienced in bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound for the non-invasive diagnosis and staging of lung cancer.
He has research experience in the epidemiology of non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis and nontuberculous mycobacterial infection, and has participated in clinical drug trials for the treatment of these two conditions.
Dr. Ranches is a San Diego native and proud alumnus of Mira Mesa High School. He enjoys spending his free time with family and friends.
