Dr. Maryam Zarei specializes in allergy and immunology, treating both adults and children. Her practice provides a full range of allergy services, offering innovative technologies to treat patients and track their progress. She is passionate about providing outstanding, personalized care for people suffering from asthma, environmental and drug allergies and vaccine allergies, as well as those who require immunotherapy. She also treats contact skin disorders, anaphylaxis, urticaria, eczema, angioedema, venom hypersensitivity, food allergies, mold sensitivity and chronic sinus disease.
Dr. Zarei has served as the past president of the San Diego Allergy Society, and has been a long-time member of the San Diego County Medical Society. She has also been involved in clinical research, and was the recipient of the First Place Clemens Von Pirquet National Award for best research by a fellow from the American College of Allergy.
Dr.Zarei prides herself on being a lifelong learner, attending regular medical seminars to better serve her patients. Nature, regular exercise and connecting with family and community are best sources of nourishment for her mind, body and soul. Outside the office, Dr. Zarei enjoys spending time with her family, taking fieldtrips to the zoo, museums and parks, long hikes, dancing, yoga and Zumba.
