As a hematologist/oncologist, Alan Saven, MD, has a special interest in leukemia, myeloma, and lymphoma, as well as benign hematology. He is an internationally recognized expert in the treatment of hairy cell leukemia (HCL), and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed medical journal articles.
Dr. Saven believes that in order to provide extraordinary care there must be open and honest communication.
He has been named a “Top Doctor” by U.S. News and World Report and is very active in the hematology and oncology community. He has also held multiple leadership roles, including director for the Scripps Cancer Center and head for the division of hematology and oncology at Scripps Clinic.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family.
