Ronald Salzetti, MD, is the department chair of obstetrics and gynecology for Scripps Clinic Medical Group and the medical director of women's health services at Scripps Health. Dr. Salzetti also chairs the Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla robotic surgery steering committee and is a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology for Scripps Clinic and Scripps Clinic Medical Group. As an obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Salzetti has a focus in gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Through minimally invasive approaches, he is able to treat conditions such as fibroids and uterine cysts with increased precision and shorter recovery time. He is also experienced in urogynecology and infertility treatments.
Dr. Salzetti believes in building trusted relationships with his patients by thoroughly listening and addressing concerns in a caring and compassionate manner. He is also a proponent for preventive care and believes in early detection for breast cancer and cervical cancer.
Throughout his career, Dr. Salzetti has presented at many professional conferences on topics related to obstetrics and gynecology and has received numerous honors and awards, including the 2004 Physician of the Year at Pomerado Hospital’s women’s services department and OB/GYN Physician of the Year at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla in 2015.
