Stacy Ostrow, MD, is a dermatologist with expertise in medical and surgical dermatology. She sees patients for a number of dermatological diseases and conditions, including melanoma and other skin cancers, acne, rosacea, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, warts, psoriasis, hair loss and skin growths. She finds that one of the most rewarding aspects of dermatology is being able to diagnose skin cancers in the earliest stages, before they become life-threatening, and is known for her thoroughness in performing skin cancer exams.
Dr. Ostrow believes in providing compassionate, individualized patient care. She also believes that the patient-physician relationship is a partnership, and works with her patients to find the best treatment to fit their lifestyle and goals. Dr. Ostrow and her staff take pride in the care they provide, including taking the time to explain conditions and treatments and often providing written treatment instructions.
Dr. Ostrow is a member of the San Diego Dermatologic Society, National Psoriasis Foundation, California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, San Diego County Medical Society, and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Prior to joining Scripps Clinic, she was a clinical instructor in the department of dermatology at S.U.N.Y. Buffalo and the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in Leawood, Kansas.
Dr. Ostrow has received the Patients’ Choice Award for the past three years and was voted by San Diego Magazine as one of San Diego’s “Top Doctors” in 2013.
When she is not caring for patients, she enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, gardening and playing with her children.
