Dr. Lizerbram, M.D. graduated from UCLA in 1987 with honors and a degree in Biology. Dr. Lizerbram attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine where he graduated with distinction. After spending one year in Internal Medicine, he completed his Radiology residency at Cedar’s-Sanai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he served as Chief Resident.
Upon completion of his residency and Radiology Board Certification, Dr. Lizerbram had the honors of completing an MRI Fellowship at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. The focus of his work was MRI of the Body, Neurology, and Musculoskeletal systems. Dr. Lizerbram also developed a Mammography practice during his Fellowship year. Involved in Radiology Research, Dr. Lizerbram has published numerous articles and spent time as an honorary Lecturer educating physicians and patients across the country. As a Clinical Professor at UCSD, Dr. Lizerbram received a Teaching Award in 1998.
Dr. Lizerbram was then appointed the Chief of Body Imaging at a full service multi-modality Imaging Center in West Los Angeles. He developed considerable expertise in Oncologic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and participated in CT and Ultrasound guided biopsies, and Pain Management.
Having been raised in San Diego, Dr. Lizerbram returned to practice here as a member of Radiology Medical Group. His present focus is in MRI and Nuclear Medicine. He is a member of the American Board of Radiology, Radiology Society of North America, and American Medical Association. He is on the Medical Staff at Scripps Mercy Hospital.
