David Liu, MD, is an internal medicine specialist, with particular interest in health promotion and disease prevention. In addition, he is a certified specialist in diseases caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Dr. Liu views the patient-physician relationship as a partnership. He works with patients to determine effective treatment options to fit their goals and lifestyle.
In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Liu earned a doctorate in philosophy of biological sciences from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. He has authored numerous articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented his research findings at several national meetings.
When he is not caring for patients, he enjoys running, swimming, playing violin and viola, and spending time with family.
