Amena Adams, NP, is a nurse practitioner in gynecology specializing in minimally invasive surgery as treatment for endometriosis, uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding and pelvic pain. Her nursing background in OB-GYN, urogynecology and plastic surgery provide her with both a strong clinical and surgical background. As an advanced practice clinician, she now works with a highly efficient team and dedicated surgeons to provide women with excellent care and improved quality of life.
Amena enjoys advocating for women of all ages and helping them achieve healthier and happier lives. She believes that “our health is our wealth” and seeks opportunities to educate patients about their conditions and help them feel comfortable and empowered through education and treatment options. The most gratifying part of her job is when women return to the things they love most whether it be their jobs, families, hobbies or everyday activities.
Outside of work, Amena spends time with her daughters and husband as they explore the many culturally rich and diverse neighborhoods that San Diego has to offer. She finds peace and comfort in everyday things such as helping her children with homework, family dinners, neighborhood walks and weekends at the farmer’s market.
