Pulmonologist Ramni Khattar, DO, believes in individualized and evidence-based care, and strives to engage and educate her patients to empower them to actively participate in their care. Her clinical interests include thoracic cancer diagnostics, thoracic radiology, pleural pathology, asthma and pulmonary infections. She specializes in bronchoscopic procedures including EBUS, endobronchial biopsies, transbronchial biopsies and chest tube placements.
Dr. Khattar has authored a book chapter on occupational lung disease and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals. She has been an assistant professor of medicine in pulmonary and critical care medicine and taught fellows in pulmonary and critical care.
In her free time, Dr. Khattar enjoys running, cooking Indian food, traveling, reading and continuously exploring San Diego.
