Dr. Omar Ozgur is an ophthalmologist who specializes in treating deformities and abnormalities of the eyelids, upper and mid-face, tear-drainage system and orbit. He also has experience in treating cancer of the eyelids and eye region and is fellowship-trained in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. He strives to give each patient the care and attention they need to fully understand their condition and feel confident in their treatment plan.
Dr. Ozgur has always had a passion for science and discovery and has integrated computer technology with medical care and research throughout his medical career. Since completing his fellowship, he has been a co-investigator at NASA's Johnson Space Center, where he has been involved in research studies investigating ocular, orbital and facial changes in astronauts.
Dr. Ozgur has published articles in several peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at national and international meetings. He also has an interest in international medicine and has been involved with various organizations providing ophthalmic care in developing nations.
Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Ozgur enjoys travelling, biking, snowboarding, hiking, fishing and diving.
