Louis Rivera, MD

Louis “Lou” Rivera, MD, is a surgical oncologist and Fellow, American College of Surgeons, specializing in the surgical treatment of multiple cancers including breast, melanoma, pancreas, liver, gastrointestinal and cancerous and non-cancerous soft tissue tumors like sarcoma. In addition, he has experience with minimally invasive, including robotic, approaches to surgical care. 

Dr. Rivera’s philosophy of care is patient centered. He believes in treating each patient in a way that respects their individual treatment and life goals. He understands that cancer care involves multiple specialists contributing to the patient’s care. He values communication and teamwork as essential to quality medical care.

Dr. Rivera is a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons and American College of Surgeons. 

In his spare time, he enjoys the company of family and friends.
