As a gastroenterologist and hepatologist, Behnam Moein Jahromi, MD (Dr. Moein), treats patients with all types of gastroenterology and hepatology disorders. His clinical interests include screening and prevention of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers including colon, esophagus and stomach cancer. Dr. Moein believes in patient-centered care and treats every patient like a family member.
As a clinical instructor of medicine, he enjoys training and mentoring the next generation of internal medicine residents and GI fellows. He has also carried out multiple quality improvement (QI) projects to improve their education.
Dr. Moein’s research includes esophageal precancerous conditions and treatments. He has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented at national and international conferences.
In 2019, he received the Charles and Virginia Feld Award for demonstrating humanistic qualities in medicine. He is honored with the Fellowship of the American College of Physicians (FACP), and he is a member of American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
Dr. Moein spends his free time with family and friends, and enjoys charcoal grilling, wood sculpting and activities to promote GI-related cancer awareness.
