David Wang, MD, is a palliative medicine specialist who partners with multidisciplinary care teams to provide patients an extra layer of support. He cares for patients as a whole person, focusing on the distressing symptoms of serious illness, as well as emotional, social and spiritual needs.
Dr. Wang holds integrative leadership roles within the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He chairs national committees, lectures widely and recently published his textbook on primary palliative skills for clinicians. Dr. Wang also has prior experience working in health policy at the World Health Organization.
