Flavorful non-alcoholic mixed drink everyone can enjoy
The sparkle and spice apple fizz mocktail is a unique and refreshing non-alcoholic beverage crafted by Cole Keigh, the bar manager at Donna Jean’s Los Angeles location.Â
Designed to yield one serving, this mocktail combines a mix of seasonal flavors and textures.
IngredientsÂ
- 1 ounce fall syrup (ingredients below)Â
- ½ ounce lemon juiceÂ
- ½ ounce aquafabaÂ
- ½ ounce pomegranate juiceÂ
- 2 drops almond extractÂ
- 3 medium cinnamon sticksÂ
- Unsweetened ginger flavor sparkling waterÂ
Fall syrup ingredients:
- ½ Honeycrisp apple, dicedÂ
- ½ Granny Smith apple, dicedÂ
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extractÂ
- ½ cup sugarÂ
- 1 cup waterÂ
- ½ teaspoon minced fresh gingerÂ
Directions
Step 1: Fall Syrup
Bring water to a boil, add sugar, let dissolve, add all ingredients and let them simmer on low while pot is covered for 15 minutes. Let cool and strain. Â
Step 2: Combine the ingredients
Shake with ice, strain away ice, dry shake, pour into coupe or rocks glass (the glass should be 90% full). Top with sparkling water. Garnish with powdered cinnamon and a cinnamon stick.Â
