Bronny James’ medical crisis renews interest in sudden cardiac arrest

Following the sudden cardiac arrest of college basketball player Bronny James, who is the son of NBA legend LeBron James, Scripps Clinic cardiologist Poulina Uddin, MD, weighed in on the importance of screening for this potentially life-threatening condition among young athletes during a report by 10News.


Dr. Uddin is one of several Scripps cardiologists who provide these EKG screenings free of charge to local youths through clinics sponsored by the nonprofit Eric Paredes Save A Life Foundation.
