New implant enables body to heal its own torn ACL

News outlets recently covered a medical milestone in San Diego County: the first local surgery using a new implantable device that enables the body to heal its own torn ACL. Scripps Clinic orthopedic surgeon Tim Wang, MD performed the minimally invasive procedure for Oceanside, Calif. resident Jenna Richardson, who enjoys staying active with skiing, mountain biking and surfing.
