Nonprofit hosts free vision clinic for underserved children
News outlets recently covered a free vision clinic hosted by Mercy Outreach Surgical Team (MOST) for unaccompanied migrant children housed at a local emergency shelter. The clinic included vision screenings for more than 600 youths, along with prescription eyeglasses for those who needed them. MOST is a nonprofit volunteer organization founded by nurses at Scripps Mercy Hospital and is supported entirely through philanthropy.
