At least 42% of newly diagnosed cancers in the United States are potentially avoidable, according to the American Cancer Society. Thomas Buchholz, MD, medical director of Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center, appeared on KUSI TV to share his insights on effective cancer prevention strategies. These range from vaccinations, to screenings, to lifestyle choices. Dr. Buchholz is also a physician at Scripps Clinic.
