Scripps First to Use Heated Organ Transport System in San Diego Region

New technology that allows organs to be transported warm instead of on ice is being tested at Scripps Green Hospital.

News media recently covered the rollout, including the story of a police officer who received a new liver using the new warm perfusion transportation system. Christopher Marsh, MD, a transplant surgeon and division head of Scripps Center for Organ and Cell Transplantation, was interviewed.
