Primary care doctor focuses on flu protection in media interviews
Erik Hogen, MD, a pediatrician at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo, recently discussed the newly FDA-approved antiviral drug Xofluza and how it helps to reduce symptoms of the flu and shorten its duration during an interview with KUSI.
Dr. Hogen explained flu symptoms and how quickly they can arise in otherwise healthy people in an article that appeared in The San Diego Union-Tribune.
National Influenza Vaccination Week this year is scheduled for December 2-8. The national awareness campaign highlights the importance of continuing flu vaccination through the holiday season and beyond.
