Victor Espinoza thanks Scripps physicians during news conference
Hall of Fame jockey and Triple Crown winner Victor Espinoza, who suffered spinal injuries after falling from a horse while training, spoke at a news conference after he was discharged from Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Jihad Jaffer, MD, a rehabilitation specialist, participated in the news conference.
Espinoza underwent therapy at the Scripps Encinitas outpatient rehabilitation center after being treated initially at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla’s Barbey Family Emergency and Trauma Center.
