Scripps Cancer Patient and Doctor Ballroom Dance Draws Media Spotlight

Irene Hutchins, MD, Scripps Clinic oncologist, and cancer survivor Steve Valentine were recently featured in news stories about the pact they made to dance together once Valentine recovered from an aggressive form of lymphoma. Hutchins and Valentine are former national champion ballroom dancers.

On Sunday, they treated an audience of cancer survivors and their loved ones to a ballroom dance performance set to the song "I Will Survive" during the annual Cancer Survivors Day celebration at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla.
