At the request of the family of patient Leeanne Ericson, Gail Tominaga, MD, trauma surgeon at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, provided a medical update on the condition of the shark-attack victim during a press conference. Dr. Tominaga was joined by Ericson's loved ones and first responders who were involved in her rescue.
