Scripps cardiologist Paul Teirstein, MD, weighs in on the promise of the new technology
Scripps Clinic cardiologist Paul Teirstein, MD, weighed in on a new absorbable stent recently cleared for commercial use by the Food and Drug Administration in an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Dr. Teirstein, who is medical director of the Prebys Cardiovascular Institute, oversaw the testing of the Absorb bioresorbable vascular scaffold system among Scripps cardiology patients.
