Scripps Cardiologist Included Among 50 Most Influential Physicians in History

Scripps Clinic cardiologist Eric Topol, MD, ranked No. 23 in a recent list of the 50 most influential physicians in history by Medscape.

A short profile that was part of the listing noted Dr. Topol’s roles as director of the Scripps Translational Science Institute, a thought leader in the digital medicine revolution and an author of two acclaimed books on the topic.

Medscape editors did not explain how they compiled the list. In addition to his roles with Scripps, Dr. Topol also serves as editor-in-chief of Medscape.
