Scripps Cardiologist Named Among Top Global Biotech Leaders
List cites Eric Topol's work developing important cardiology medications
Scripps Clinic cardiologist Eric Topol, MD, was among five people from the San Diego area included in The Worldview 100, a list of the world’s top leaders in biotechnology by Scientific American’s sister publication, Worldview.
Magazine editors said the list represented the "leading lights in the field “who proved fundamental insights into biological processes, as well as their colleagues who developed those insights to create the biology-based goods and services that are the essence of biotechnology.”
Dr. Topol is chief academic officer for Scripps Health and director of the Scripps Translational Science Institute in La Jolla.
