Scripps Cardiologist Weighs in on Dietary Fat Guidelines
New study questions belief that fat consumption causes heart disease
The evidence supporting long-held dietary guidelines for fat in foods is weak, Scripps Health cardiologist Eric Topol, MD, told the U-T San Diego.
His comments were part of an article about a new study that found no health benefits resulting from a reduction of fat consumption.
