New investigational drug for treatment of Eosinophilic Esophagitis in Adults

Inclusion Criteria
Patients must:
- Have a diagnosis (or suspected diagnosis) of Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE).
Have a history of difficulty swallowing food or liquids (dysphagia).
Have a stable diet for the last 8 weeks.
Be 18-75 years of age.
Be willing to use contraceptives during the length of the study.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients must not:
- Weigh less than 88 lbs.
Be pregnant or plan to become pregnant during the length of the study.
Have any other gastrointestinal disease (ex. Crohn's disease, Celiac disease, motility disorders of the esophagus).
Have a history of a bleeding disorder, liver cirrhosis, or esophageal varices.
Have recently been treated with an immunosuppression agent or biologic.
Have a significant stricture of the esophagus.
Have a history of alcohol misuse or substance abuse within the past 12 months.
