Timeless Leadership Advice
I recently had the pleasure of addressing the Becker’s Hospital Review 8th Annual Meeting held in Chicago. More than 2,000 people from hospitals and health systems across the country gathered at the Hyatt Regency to discuss and hear presentations on the many challenges facing our industry today.
The event gave me the opportunity to talk about some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned about management and leadership since becoming CEO of Scripps Health 18 years ago.
Among other things, I emphasized the importance of developing trust among your employees, driving culture change through managers, and maintaining open and regular lines of communications with people throughout your organization.
