Scripps Mercy offers hospital and emergency care in San Diego’s Hillcrest neighborhood
Scripps Mercy Hospital has served central and downtown San Diego since 1890. The San Diego campus is located near the corner of 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest, within walking distance of clinics, restaurants and shops.
Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.
Our services
Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego shares a campus with many physician offices and medical buildings, including the O’Toole Breast Care Center.
We’re home to notable specialty services, including a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).
The Woltman Family College Building on the Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego campus, a historic structure built nearly a century ago to train nurses, has taken on a new purpose providing nonclinical cancer support. Services include patient navigation, pastoral counseling, family consultation, meditation, a patient resource library and more.
